Would you like it if one of your classmates kept teasing you? Telling you that they didn’t like your clothes or your hair. You wouldn’t like how you feel after they said those things so don’t do it to others. Kids, you have to always remember that you should treat people the way you want to be treated. When you are at recess you should share the toys that you are playing with. Always let someone play in a kickball game. Pretend it was you on the outside looking in. Being the last one standing to get picked for a team is hard enough, but being told you are not allowed to play is even worse. If someone in your class only wears 5 shirts then let them only wear 5 shirts. Think about how much you know about them besides their appearance. Probably nothing. Never judge a book by it’s cover and always be friendly.
Girls, you know you do not need 89 Barbie dolls. Boys, you could use a little cleaning in the monster truck area of the room. Take those toys that you know you don’t play with anymore and give them to another kid who doesn’t have any. There are many children around all communities and neighborhoods that do not have what you might have. It is nice to give them something that you used to enjoy so they can have fun with it too. Learn to give away the toys that you don’t play with anymore or the clothes that you know you won’t wear. Have your friends from school come over on the weekend and tell them to bring their old items. You can all pass them out or donate them by putting them in a Salvation Army bin. Helping another kid be happy is something you can all do together.
Don’t ever be afraid to be who you are. That is one of the most important lessons in life. Dress up in weird costumes and jump on the bed. Let people know that you dream of being a princess or that you want to dance across the country in your bare feet. Kids, you only have a limited amount of time to be young, so use it wisely. Play games and sports that you want to play. Fix your hair the way you want it. If you don’t want to match when you go to school, then don’t! It’s all about being who you really are and be true to yourself.
